Abstract
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menelaah apakah terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berfikir kritis dan self-efficacy mahasiswa yang belajar menggunakan pendekatan RME dengan mind mapping dengan mahasiswa yang memperoleh pendekatan konvensional. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dan desain yang digunakan adalah Randomized Control-Group Posttest Only Design. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Maret sampai April 2012 dengan subjek penelitian 92 orang mahasiswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari tes kemampuan berfikir kritis dan skala psikologik self-efficacy model skala likert. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berfikir kreatif dan self-efficacy antara mahasiswa yang memperoleh pendekatan RME dengan Mind Mapping dengan mahasiswa yang memperoleh pendekatan konvensional. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian, maka penerapan pendekatan RME dengan Mind Mapping dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif metode pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan dalam upaya meningkatkan kemapuan berfikir kritis dan self-efficacy.
